What's the difference between Cotton and Polyester?

 Military uniforms, like other clothing, often use theses two materials, like cotton and polyester. These two fabrics are often used to make military camouflage T-shirts, Military uniforms, Police uniforms,etc.


The basic difference between cotton and polyester is that cotton fabric is derived from cotton plants, while polyester is considered to be man-made fiber extracted from petroleum products. For the same reason, it is not considered as a sustainable fabric.


In terms of breathability, cotton is a more breathable fabric, which can absorb all the body's moisture (sweat). On the other hand, polyester is a synthetic fabric, so its breathability is worse than cotton, and it does not absorb too much water or moisture.


But polyester is not without its benefits. Polyester with strong and wear-resistant, so it will be added to military army combat uniforms,police tactical uniform.
